Physics Joke!!

Okay, I know this is supposed to be a philosophy blog, but...
I bet that bench is pretty unstable.

Entropy and Immortality

I was in math class a few days ago, and my teacher, Mr. Morris, asked me to write him a theoretical physics kind of thing or something (I was done with my work, and he liked reading that kind of stuff).  I came up with this (typed for ease of reading, due to my terrible handwriting):

Entropy and Immortality
It stands to theory that there must be some branch of the universe where I would survive.  Therefore, if I can find some way to traverse a path where I didn't die, I could theoretically live forever.  Perhaps every sentient being does this involuntarily.  If someone you know dies, perhaps they are simply moving to path different than yours, perhaps even one where you die!  We don't experience [our death that occurs in a branch we are not in, and neither does anyone else].  Therefore, anyone [alive] in the Earth at this point, according to your experience, is, at the moment, in the same universe as you.  Either that or everyone we know is simply mindless dolls of the universe, making predefined decisions to ensure the continuation of your existence.  Obviously, the first is more desirable, and, frankly, more likely.  My theory states that all sentient beings live immortally in separate universes.  When one dies in your universe, they switch universes a microsecond before [they die, into a universe where they manage to survive].  Just a theory, of course; I call it the Entropic Immortality Theory.

Okay, there are a few things that are a little off here, but I did this in just a few minutes!  There were a few things that HAD to be fixed, and I marked these like so: "I think he is cool" would be replaced with "I think [my dad] is cool".  Or, maybe some other guy depending on who I meant in the context.  Anyway, this might require a bit of explanation on the concept of entropy.  You know what?  I'm gonna be a bit lazy here; if you need an explanation, just look it up on the internet.  Also, there's a really great explanation in Jason Shiga's Meanwhile, but I don't have an image for it here.  This was the best i could cook up:
Anyway, feel free to leave any thoughts, ideas, or objections in the comments!  Go ahead and debate over it.  That's the reason i made this blog.

(EDIT: It looks like i'm not the first to come up with this idea... oh well.

Philosophy in a Nutshell In a Nutshell

This is no ordinary blog.  Most blogs are one-sided, and readers usually can't affect the content of the blog.  In this blog, however, the comments are not only the sites of heated debates, they are also the place to post ideas!  I will do my best to implement as many ideas as possible.  In the meantime, feel free to post any ideas for my next post! =)
Also, this blog is about philosophical ideas (preferably involving physics and/or ethical dilemmas).
Good luck!
